The blind man and the number 4 train
Today I had an interesting NYC experience. I was rushing of to meet my brother to get measured for tuxes that we are going to be wearing to an upcoming wedding when a blind man asked me to escort him to the number 4 train uptown. If you know the 59th street subway station, and know that it is a bit of a challenge to go from the downtown side to the uptown side at that station.
I end up leading this blind man along and get slightly lost in the 59th street subway trying to find the path to the uptown train when I decide to take him down to 42nd street grand central where the transfer is much easier. I lead him on the local 6 downtown to 42nd and take him to the transfer to the uptown 4. I then scurry back to the downtown to meet my brother for the tux measuring.
Definitely a new experience for me. I guess I did my good deed for the day!
