How do NYC Subways Compare with Tokyo's?

I recently came across an interesting series of articles at New York One's website in which they compare NYC Subways to Tokyo's. If you didn't know this, Tokyo's subway system is the busiest in the world and it's also much newer than NYC's. It's a very interesting read and also points to some of the distinct differences in the culture between the two nations. Would you believe that people actually wait in a formed single file line to board the subways in Tokyo? I'd like to see the MTA try and pull that off here in NYC.

Click here to give it a read. It's certainly interesting.
