Memorial Day Weekend is Here!

Finally, a three day weekend! Oh I plan to get some good R n R this weekend. I'm going to see "The Day After Tomorrow" the day before tomorrow. Sorry...bad joke I know. I'm going with my brother Dave. It should be a good time. I heard it wasn't that great of a plot but amazing special effects. I'm easy to please so I'm sure I will enjoy it.

On Saturday I will be returning to bed bath and beyond to pick up a few things for the apartment. I will also be stopping at some clothing store to buy some new pants either this weekend or next. Sounds exciting doesn't it?

My mother is coming in on Monday!! I'm always excited and happy when she comes in. I like being able to make her feel nice! She's such a sweetheart!

I'm definitely going to relax as well!

Have a great weekend everyone!

I Want to Fly!

I recently picked up all four Superman movies for only $36.95 at bestbuy. Oh I know they are oldies but boy are they fun to watch. Makes me want to fly!!! Love that music too. I just wish they'd make a new one. I know it would be great. Perhaps "Lois and Clark" will come out on DVD soon too! That'd be nice!

I Have Recovered.

Yesterday, I stayed home sick from work. I wasn't feeling to well but I got a lot of sleep that day. That and my cool roommate made me some soup. What a cool guy! After a day of mostly rest, and a few hours watching a Superman movie I feel much better now. I'm back at work and feeling almost fully healed. Speaking of which...I better get cracking!

Ciao!

It is Done!

I have finished unpacking! Finally, after moving into my new place I have finally finished unpacking everything of mine. Sure I still need to organize a few things but all my boxes are now emptied and I have unpacked it all. The apartment is getting much closer to being ready for our house warming party. It's now my roommates turn to get the rest of the stuff finished. We still need to buy a few things too but it is really starting to come together.

Can you tell I'm excited!!

A Graduation Party to Remember

I just got back from my good friend Mike's law school graduation party. That was quite a time. Mike and I are friends all the way back to high school. Going to a party like that really takes you down memory lane. I saw all his family again and noticed how much they have all grown up. They were all so young back when I was in high school and now the baby is 13!! Time really flies sometimes.

The party was great. It was on Oneida lake and we built our very own campfire to enjoy the night. We even roasted some smores!! Oh and who would have though you could buy firewood at 12:30 am!

Thanks for having me Mike. I loved it!

A Day Dedicated to my Apartment

As today begins I make preparations to fix up my new apartment. Those of you that know me might remember that I just moved recently into a nice new apartment that I am very happy with. Well, my roommate and I will be doing some shopping to secure some bookshelves to help clean up the apartment even more.

Each weekend we have gotten it in a bit better condition and hopefully by next weekend it will be completely ready for company to come over. Perhaps then we will throw a little shin dig not too long after.

Regardless of what we do, I am extremely happy with the new place. You just don't realize how much of a shit hole you have lived in until you move into a place nice.

My Nephew's Blog - Random Thoughts

My nephew Nick just started his own blog: Random Thoughts. Everyone who knows me is required to check it out or else!! .....hmm....well you don't have too but I'm sure he'd like it.

Here's Another Interesting Site - Google Answers

As you may have noticed, I like all things that are google. At least I find their ideas very interesting. One of their newer technologies is a website called Google Answers.

On this site, people put forth question to be answered by a team of researchers employed by Google. They offer up some amount of money ranging from $2.00 to $200. Then researchers go and answer the questions for them as best as they can.

What I find interesting is that although I've never used the site I've learned a lot from it. All of the questions and answers are available for anyone to see and you can often find some very interesting questions. I've learned quite a few interesting things and I'm sure anyone else who checks this out will too.

It's Friday!!!

Oh I just got to work and it is Friday. There's something about this day that just about everyone loves. For me it is the very end of another week at work. Things have been finished and now it is time for a break. Thank heavens for the weekend. I'll get a chance to free my mind and rest up for another exciting week next week.

Will this day go by quick or slow!! I hope quickly because I can't wait till the weekend.

E3 is in the house

As a long time avid gamer I'm always excited when E3 comes around. It's excited because all the game companies reveal what's behind the curtain on many upcoming games and projects.

Of note is the interesting battle between Sony and Nintendo for the next generation of portable gaming. Sony's PSP is to go head to head with Nintendo's new gameboy DS. In my opinion, Sony has a large uphill battle in front of it. There system looks great, they have lots of good games coming out, but there is one major flaw. What is it going to cost.

Nintendo has kept the price down on their gameboy systems since their release. That has helped them to defeat competitor after competitor. If Sony can't release there new system for less that $149 I don't see how it will be able to compete. Why buy a whole new system that costs (rumored to be $300) requiring a whole new library of games when you can get Nintendo's cheap system for much less and use all your old games with it.

Only time will tell if people are willing to jump ship with that price but perhaps they can at least create a niche with gamers who don't usually go portable.

Until next time...

My first blog ever

I'm just trying this out at the moment. I've got an interest in all things google. I've recently been testing gmail and I love that. I figured I'd see if I like ther blogger.com.

For those interested in gmail it is a must have! It's the fastest web-based email I've ever used. Plus there are no intrusive flashy graphic type ads. Yahoo and hotmail have a lot to worry about.

More thoughts to come...it begins...
