Red Sox curse is over
Well, it looks like I won't be able to pick on the Red Sox anymore for the curse. They won the world series last night. Oddly, it happened during a full lunar eclipse. I suppose that is only fitting bearing that a curse needed to be lifted for them to win. Some actually believe that it was the Yankees stealing of A-Rod that led to the curse being lifted. I wonder if it somehow canceled out the Curse of the Bambino. Well, it was fun while it lasted but the funny thing is now Boston's angst has no outlet. Kerry & Bush Related to Dracula According to World-Renowned Genealogy Research Site
I found out the following article and thought everyone might find it interesting.

According to family history authority Ancestry.com, not only are Kerry and Bush related as ninth cousins twice removed, but both are related to Vlad III Dracul (born 1431 also known as Dracula) who ruled Transylvania and southern Romania as a macabre warlord, later fictionalized in Bram Stoker's 1897 novel Dracula.
For Kerry, the strange relation goes back 34 generations to connect with Dracula, but Bush is actually more closely related to the Transylvanian dictator, taking only 32 generations to connect.
Perhaps a little less gruesome is the fact that Kerry and Bush are cousins, both connected to Royal blood through Princess Diana and the House of Windsor. Kerry is Diana's 12th cousin once removed, and Bush is Diana's 11th cousin twice removed -- perhaps more biting cousins than kissing cousins.
National Genealogolgy Researcher and former President of GENTECH, now part of the National Genealogy Society, Beau Sharbrough of Ancestry.com says "Indeed, you can find some strange relations in the field of genealogy, but these figures are indeed a bit frightening. Last week, Leno featured a John Kerry Dracula toy squirting ketchup from his fangs and he wasn't too far from the truth. With the race getting a little bloody, we're seeing a glimpse of lineage as the teeth come out on both sides."

BoSox are 3-0 - Let's hope for the curse to kick in!
The Boston Redsox are currently up 3-0 in the world series. As a New York Yankees fan I think about how ironic it would be for the curse to kick in and for the Boston Redsox to loose by being defeated by the 2nd team to ever come back from a 3-0 lead to win. It would certainly be ironic and definitely fitting of the curse. Will it happen? Who knows, but I do know that if the curse is lifted I will no longer be able to have fun at my good friend's (die-hard Sox fan). So c'mon Babe...bring out the curse. Don't let it end like this! Prove that there really is a curse!!!
The Curse is not Reversed!
The headlines for the New York Post on the day that the Boston Red Sox beat the New York Yankees stated "Red Sox Reverse the Curse". Personally, I feel that this is completely wrong. They did not reverse the curse because the curse states that the Red Sox will not win a World Series and not that they can't beat the Yankees to win the Pennant. I hold my judgment on whether or not the curse has been reversed until they finally do win the World Series which they haven't done since 1918.
Also, even though I'm a Yankees fan I felt it a bit odd during game seven when Pedro was pitching and we were down 8 to 2 that the fans decided to chant "Who's your daddy?". Well clearing we weren't there daddy so I'm not sure what that question was supposed to mean. Can't these fans get their facts straight? You don't ask someone who's there daddy when you are loosing badly!!!
An Alienware Experience
I've done it. After much to long of time I've decided to buy a new computer. As of Thursday morning I have now officially placed an order for a kick-ass Alienware Area-51 high performance computer system. Here is a picture of what it'll look like (just the computer...ignore the extras).
I'm one happy camper. Alienware is really a great company. The ordering process has been quite simple and fun. Sure I know a lot about computers but it was nice to know that I was talking to a company where the people on the phone actually seemed to know as much as I did. When I've called various other computer companies in the past I often know much more than they do. It's a good start. Hopefully the process of it shipping will go smooth and I'll get it relatively soon.
If you are in the market for a new pc I highly recommend them. Plus...I'm getting a mouse with a frickin lazer beam!

Christopher Reeves was a true super hero. He inspired millions with his Superman films and then even after his accident he continued to inspire millions with his dedication to walking again. I just wanted to post a note on my blog to the great and wonderfully respected Christopher Reeve and to thank him for his uplifting attitude. You will never be forgotten.

Cheney's Blunder Part 2
Well it seems as the news agencies have finally caught up and noticed the blunder. Several articles have appeared on various websites. It looks like a company in the Cayman islands decided to redirect the traffic to georgesoros.com after they discovered the blunder. They have no affiliation but did it because of political reasons and they figured George Soros could afford the additional traffic. Here are a few links to various articles on this subject.

In addition, www.factcheck.com is no longer referring to anywhere. It comes up as a dead link now. Perhaps they were pressured to cut it out from the Bush administration but who knows. Also, georgesoros.com is currently been shut down but there is no word on whether or not this is permanent. Most likely, the site is just over it's traffic limit.
Vice-President Cheney Unintentionally Supports Anti-Bush Website
Last night during the Vice-Presidential Debate, the Vice-President responded to accusations about his former company Halliburton stating that the website factcheck.com, an independent website sponsored by the University of Pennsylvania, provides specific details refuting those claims. What I don't think he realized at the time is that the website he mentioned is actually automatically redirects you to the anti bush website www.georgesoros.com.
Below you'll find an exact transcript of Cheney's statement.
CHENEY: Well, the reason they keep mentioning Halliburton is because they're trying to throw up a smokescreen. They know the charges are false.
They know that if you go, for example, to factcheck.com (sic), an independent Web site sponsored by the University of Pennsylvania, you can get the specific details with respect to Halliburton.
It's an effort that they've made repeatedly to try to confuse the voters and to raise questions, but there's no substance to the charges.

In case you are wondering. I believe the site he intended to mention was in fact www.factcheck.org. However, this site appears to be overloaded with traffic and as such is inaccessible. Perhaps Cheney should get his website's straight before throwing his support behind them.
*Update* FactCheck.org appears to be running again and has posted their own article stating Cheney's Blunder. It also clarifies a lot of the messed up facts that both Edwards and Cheney used. I suggest reading it.

Fraternal Artists Website Re-Launched
The production company Fraternal Artists, run by my brothers and I, has re-launched its website to coincide with the viewing of our film Brando from the Neck Down at the Coney Island Film Festival.
