Another Successful Thanksgiving

Well I've just returned from yet another successful Thanksgiving in good ol' Syracuse, NY where most of my family is and it was great. There were some good times and some bad times but that is always to be expected. It was so great to see my nephews and nieces who are getting so darned big it's scary!!! It's just so amazing how quickly they grow up. Of course, as with all vacation time with my family I got in a lot of computer support fixing up all of their busted computers and optimizing them until I return next time when they will all be filled with spy-ware again! I've installed FireFox on all of their computers in hopes that it will help keep the computers running in better shape than they were previously. I hope this works!!!

Speaking of FireFox, I have been using it now regularly at the office and at home and I have to say that I am very happy to not be using Internet Explorer. The browser really does a great job. All though there are certain sites that require me to switch into Internet Explorer for them to work properly, for the most part it works great. I know I recommended it before but I urge you to install it and switch. You will be happier for it!

Congrats to my cousin on his marriage!

I'd like to send out a special congratulations to my cousin who just got married this past weekend. First off it was a beautiful wedding and I was glad that I was there to see my cousin get married. We go way back and are more brothers than cousins and I love him very much! Plus...I'd like to especially thank the bridesmaids for dancing with me all night! :). Seriously it was a great time and you and your new wife make a wonderful couple. Now next time....let me know if I can hide in the suitcase to travel on the honeymoon with you. Aruba sounds so nice!! Sniff!!

FireFox is now officially released

If you haven't checked it out yet, I recommend that you try the new web browser from Mozilla called Firefox. This new browser was officially released today and is quite good. I've been comparing it to Internet Explorer for the past few weeks trying them both out and I think I'm about ready to fully commit to using FireFox full-time. It really is a supperior web browser and the only reason I think I would continue to use Internet Explorer is that it's the most widely supported browser.

Check out the new browser now by visiting www.getfirefox.com.

A cloud floats over New York City

Following the end of the election and the Bush win I noticed a certain air about New York City that felt as if a low cloud is now officially hovering over the city. The people tend to generally be stressed and down. There's a lot of people in shock and they aren't really sure what to do. They are very worried about the future and what is going to happen and Bush hasn't don much to ease their worries. It's a strange time to be in NYC and I don't think I've ever experienced anything quite like it. I'm an optimist so I'm hoping that somehow the President gets it together and realizes that a large part of the country strongly disagrees with his point of view and concedes on some issues. We shall see. It's going to be a long four years.
